Hi! I’m Tamara (ta-mare-rah)
Welcome to Suddenly Imbalanced!
My blog mission is simple—to help you live a healthy lifestyle through diet, exercise, and holistic alternatives. I’ll share tidbits of my life and plenty of research to inspire and assist you on your healthy lifestyle journey.
What inspired Suddenly Imbalanced?
Quite frankly—life did. My life literally became suddenly imbalanced (hence the name of the blog) when my hormonal imbalanced developed. Along the journey to managing my hormonal imbalance (polycystic ovarian syndrome or PCOS), I learned a lot about women’s health and desired to share my knowledge with others in hopes it will help someone else. Quite simply–Suddenly Imbalanced is a women’s health blog inspired by my PCOS journey.

I stumbled upon your website and story literally just doing research for my new company Panty Prop, that has been live for a few weeks now and has gotten great press. I originally was looking for your email to send you information about my company and entered your About page and became so interested in your story and condition.
So of course I did a google search on the PCOS and alas, I think YOU just solved my problem that I have had for about 2.5 years now.
I have gotten every test done from 2 different gynecologist here in the Long Island Area of New York and have every test: blood, sugar, sono, etc etc etc has come back normal. But these doctors have never mentioned this condition to me. Since a young age of 11 I have always gotten my period every month, it has always been very normal, then about 2.5 years ago it now only comes about once or 2x a year. It is very frustrating because it stays for a very long time and is very very very heavy. Even though I have my kids already (18 and 9 years old), I have always been a very fertile female and it has bothered me since this change has happened. This is one of the reasons that made me patent and start my product. I always hated getting my period because of the inconvenience, but once it only started coming only a few times- I hated it even more because it stayed longer, heavier, and I never know when it will come. Even know, I haven’t had it since May 2015 and that was the only time. So I started my brand from frustration of wearing a uncomfortable pad since I know longer am use to wearing it every month anymore, it frustrates me every time I do, so I created a better way to cope.
I am so glad that I found your website because on Monday morning [I] will be calling my Gyno to discuss this further.
In September I was going to get a hysterectomy, that my doctor advised I DID NOT Need, but I chicken out at the last minute. He advised me that doing this at such a young age of 39 yrs old was not suggested and I did not warrant a reason for it. What doctor do you know don’t want to do a surgery and get paid? SO at the last minute I opted out. I just was doing it so I could stop my stupid period from coming altogether.
I want to thank you for your website information and your story, because I really had no idea that other women dealt with this or that it was a condition.
